Apartments for rent in Delta

Delta is quieter and cheaper than the rest of the region, and further from a SkyTrain station. Tell us what you need and we will email you when it appears.

Renting in Delta

Delta is three separate places that share a name. Ladner is the old village core by the river, Tsawwassen runs down to the ferry terminal and the beach, and North Delta sits across the highway against Surrey.

Rents are among the lowest in the region, and the trade is distance. There is no SkyTrain in Delta at all, so the commute is a bus to Bridgeport in Richmond or a car onto Highway 17 and 99.

Purpose-built apartments are scarce here. Most of what comes up is a suite in a house, a townhouse, or one of the newer low-rise buildings around Tsawwassen and Ladner.

TransitNo SkyTrain. Buses to Bridgeport Station in Richmond for the Canada Line; Highway 17 to the ferry and Highway 99 to Vancouver.
Green spaceBoundary Bay and Centennial Beach, Burns Bog, Deas Island and the dyke trails along the Fraser.
Housing stockSuites in houses and townhouses across North Delta and Ladner, with a small number of newer low-rise buildings near Tsawwassen Mills and Ladner Village.

What landlords are asking in Delta

1 bedroom

$1,850

2 bedrooms

$2,350

Each figure is the median asking rent for that size, drawn from the 103 Delta homes listed on this site right now. Sizes with fewer than a dozen are left out rather than guessed at. This is not a market survey: it moves as postings appear and expire, and asking rent runs above what continuing tenants already pay.

Common questions

How much is rent in Delta?

Across the 103 Delta homes listed on this site right now, a one-bedroom asks about $1,850 and a two-bedroom asks about $2,350 a month. That is the median asking rent by size from our own listings rather than a market survey, so it runs above what people already in a tenancy pay, and it moves as postings appear and expire.

How fast do apartments in Delta get rented?

Well-priced units in Delta are usually gone within one to three days of being posted, and the best of them within hours. Being early matters more than being flexible.

Does a listing tell you what floor the apartment is on?

Usually not. Most rental ads in Metro Vancouver leave out the floor and which way the unit faces, even in buildings where those two things decide whether you look at a park or at the tower next door. We read the whole ad and flag what is missing so you know what to ask.

Where do Delta rental listings actually get posted?

Plenty of them never reach the big rental portals. Owner-listed units in Delta show up on Craigslist and Facebook groups first, and on the aggregators later if at all. We watch the places most renters forget to check.

Is Firstlook free?

Yes. You write the brief and we send the emails, which you can turn off from any message. We do not take a fee from you or from the landlord.
